The excess from the 1-2 and 3-4 rods interfere with my parking brake swing arm... would probabaly take a whole lotta sawzall blades... is cutting them a reasonable option, or???

IIRC, I had to trim some of the excess length off of the Hurst shifter rods on the Fastback (toploader). However, this was because they hit the backup light switch bracket that I had made. I didn't like the Hurst switch setup.
