A while back, I decided to dump 250 on one of these (EDEL 7892). They said it will sound just like a nice blower sound, and the model was supposed to be the quiet type, that It would improve timing drastically........bla,bla,blaWell, installation went OK. The engine ran great but the thing was SOOOO LOUD , I could not hear the car anymore, sounded like something was drilling the timing cover inside. I had everybody starring big time on the short test drive I took So after 20 minutes of test drive, I dismounted the cover to find out that it was running just fine, checked all clearances # again and they were OK, talk to tech support, they said that it may be "normal noise" & that the gear had to be broken-in. Any other feedback would be interesting, but this is, in my opinion, definetly not a product for a street application.

A long time ago I was going to buy one, then a friend of mine bought one and installed it before I got a chance to buy mine. One cruise in his car made me happy I waited. He took his out in a couple of months later and sold it. ------------------ My Wild Oats have turned to Shredded Wheat.

The one my friend installed was the 'quiet' one too... I'd hate to hear the 'loud' one!------------------ My Wild Oats have turned to Shredded Wheat.
