I'm thinkin real hard about converting to an efi setup frot the mustang when I get back. i know edelbrock has a kit for the 289, but it's about 2200.00. I've heard the 302 efi fits pretty good but you have to get a custom harness.
The main reason I want this is for consistent power and not having to worry about tuning the carb for major altitude changes. Other than that i'm happy with my carb. Would this conversion be worthwhile or can I get what I want out of a carb?

If you get a donor car to provide all you need it's not bad it seems. You'll get better gas mileage from a EFI system. A carb is much cheaper and easier, though.

With my current motor and trans setup I can get 17 mpg on the freeway at 90 mph. And that was with the carb mistuned. So once I get the rest of the motor set up the way I want it should be more efficient and give me a bit better mileage. I just cannot tune carbs worth crap.
