Or Refurbished I guess. Jegs has a list of these re-manned or refinished carbs at a considerable savings over a "new" one. Just curious if anyone has bought one and if it looked as good as they claim, and more importantly ran like a new one. I have had good success with them the last few years and now have another project to put another one in (Edelbrock 600 CFM 4 bbl). Just wanted to know if it was worth it. Anyone had one?

Skip..no experience with the Summit rebuild E Brocks..The worst thing about them is listening to Alex (Monymakr) rag on you about e brocks... I just posted in classifieds a trade...I have a rebuilt E Brock 750, that I'm looking to trade for a smaller Holley Vac secondary or EBrock or Carter 600 cfm 'er. My 2 cents...if you like the E Brock I'd give Summit a try at that price..... Plus they have a great return policy...any reason accepted...no questions asked... Holley provides rebuilts/rebuilding service. I'm not sure but I think they do Edelbrocks and other domestic and foreign carbs.

I just purchased one from one of our suplliers a couple of weeks ago. (yes that is correct, I bought a Jimmy Carter carb ) They look as good as the new ones and perform just as crappy. It went on a 70 Road Runner street restification deal with a 440. We had to maintain the OEM appearance and Jimmy Carter AVS's were what they came with. It idles well, runs fine and I actually could tune the bog out of it with some tweaking. The bottom line is that the price was right for the application. It looks original and the motor is bone stock save for headers. I would buy one at that price again. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator/ non 65-66 Mustang owner sensitivity co-ordinator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Part time secret agent license #0089 Professional Manwhore The Barry of BarrysGrrl
