if your looking at my engine from the front, the right side of the engine's header bolts always come loose. the right side remain firm, with the exception of 1 bolt. do i need bigger bolts?

No. You do need to tighten them while the motor is hot. It's not fun (burned knuckles ), but that's the trick

A set of stage 8 bolts will do the trick also. They have a lock on them to keep them from backing off.

I have been using a bolt kit from ARP (AMK has it too I think). Each bolt comes with a lock washer (washer shape like a 3/4 moon with a hex hole in the center that you slide over the bolt once torqued) and a clip (C shaped) that slides in a groove in the bolt head so the washer can't come out. cheap:15$ + looks nice (made in chrome)!!!
