I am installing a High volume oil pump and take this opportunity to ask the question. I was warned not to go semi since the engine will consum more, leak more, have less oil pressure......What's the reality ? IP: Logged

It now has 250K miles and still doesn't use any oil or have any engine problems! I try to change oil and filter every 3000 miles, but mostly around 5K. I use semi-synth in everything now. IP: Logged

I have a mixture of synthetic and mineral in my 302 - whatever comes to hand. In the past, sometimes it's been all synthetic and sometimes it;s been all mineral. And I honestly can't tell the difference. But that's just me. IP: Logged
