A friend of my fathers just bought a 68 conv shelby and paid big money for it. it came with a tired 427 that is knocking, and a 428 block that is C6ME-A, so I know it is a 1966 so I assume it is a 7 liter block not a cobra jet block. Anyways, I need a place to check out these #s. Vin # 8T035187668, shelby #s 02701. To anyone that can help or guide us, THANKS.

The registry or Kevin Marti. One thing is certain, it is a Metuchen built car which is where 68 Shelbys were produced before being shipped to A O Smith. Always wondered why they didn't produce them in Dearborn, near the Smith facility. Would have been too easy. The marti report would answer any question. It can be done by phone and credit card, getting an answer fast. Finding someone with the registry book could help IF it is registered. There are some that aren't

The link didn't work because that's not the address for the Marti Autoworks site. It's www.martiauto.com ------------------ 1970 Mustang Deluxe SportsRoof (my daily driver), 1946 Ford pickup, another 1946 Ford pickup, 1947 Ford parts truck, 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Town Vic

Thank you everyone for your help. I didn't realize it they were going to charge like that. Cool service but I'll let the owner take care of it if he wants. I guess I was thinking that there would be a place like here that you could discuss it. Thanks again.
