Does anyone make a "Bolt In"..."Pre Fit"..dash cluster for the 70 stang ???
Either digital or analog....saw something on PopHotRod TV about "Dakota" gauges.....(BUT COULDN'T FIND A WEBSITE)
Am thinking about something with a new, modern layout that will fit right in to the instrument pod...without a lot of modification and cutting etc..that will have a Speedo, Oil Pressure, Temp, fuel etc etc already installed...
Thanks...

Eddie, check out Dakota Digital's website at www.dakotadigital.com they have all you want to know about digital gauges for '69-70's. They cost about $600, you send in your old bezel and they fit new digital gauges for you. You'll also have to replace all your senders, I think. Not exactly cheap, but they do look pretty cool.

Dallas Mustang Parts can do this too. I bet someone else actually does it for them, but it can be done through DMP. 1-800-MUSTANG, Kenny is the best one to talk to, everyone else there is late model.

Mr. D'Amato,
The Dakota Digital is a neat set up, I used existing wire in the engine compartment along with their special sending units. Actually they are VDO units. Inside the car will be a mini cpu about 7" x 5" that all the wiring goes to. Then a ribbon connector from the gage panel plugs into the cpu. Trying to find a suitable location is the bitch. Speedometer is electronic so you don't have to worry about the correct gears, it has to be calibrated. Warning lights can be wired in also, its neat....

Eddie,
I'm just showing my respect to my elders, even if it only by a couple of years. Just remember you will always be my elder, of course that means I'll always be younger than you I have been paraphrasing you recently, when you made your comment on having your 60 foot times measured with an hour glass instead of seconds. I resemble that remark with the new motor.

Hey Mike...I got a million more....and about age...
Let's say when I was 40 you were 20...I was twice as old as you...but when I'm 80 you'll be 60 and I'll only be 1/4 older than you.
WHICH MEANS...YOU ARE CATCHING UP TO ME...
Feel free to Plagerize anything I say...although some may get you into a heap of trouble....
