 | posted 04-08-2002 09:12 PM I put the 1" lowering front end suspension kit from Mustang Plus on my '66. However, I did not lower the A arm. Would it still be beneficial for me to do so? Does it drop straight down 1" and redrill, or is there more to it than that?
 Thanks, Dave IP: Logged |

 | posted 04-08-2002 09:22 PM The arm is not dropped straight down, but there are templates out there, even on the web, that can be downloaded and printed. I don't have an address handy, but hopefully someone else does.
Yes, it is worth the trouble. The improved suspension geometry can actually IMPROVE tire clearance since the top of the tire will move IN as the suspension compresses. The negative wedge plates are also recommended. Good Luck! ------------------Mike Burch

If you stay with the 1" drop of the upper A arm, the negative wedge kit is not necessary. If you go beyond the 1" the kit is a must. For 65-66 the drop is 1" down and 1/8" or 1/4" to the rear. In my opinion it is well worth it. Very noticable difference in cornering and moreso while driving in a straight line, takes the float out of the front end.
