Can anybody tell me the proper door tag colors for a 65 mustang , and , is there a web site where I can get a visual on the different colored door tags ?

In 65, there two different door tags. One had a gray background, and the other black. Think black is more common. Remember seeing, on M&M I believe, that the gray tags denoted a car with regular enamel paint, while the bleck was acrylic enamel. Don't know whick is which, but suspect the 64.5's had more grays as they were earlier. Someone must know of a site, I don't.

A 65 door data plate is $20. Marti Auto Works. Correct lettering, And, they are licensed by Ford. He does the daisy wheel printing for later door data tags, and, of course, he has the complete 67-73 Ford data base. I had a new body buck tag made for a 68 cv. and it was right on.
