Since I haven't been around a restored 70 Mach 1 lately, i'm hoping someone can help me out. Are there two trim pieces that go between the door windows or just one on the quarter window? My uncle has a 70 Mach 1 that he is trying to finish a restoration on. He has trim pieces on the quarter glass, but nothing on the door glass. There is a gap between the windows of about 1/2" and i'm wondering if there is supposed to be a trim piece there or if the windows need to be adjusted or something. Help me out! If I need trim pieces, where do I get them? Anybody have a picture I can look at, or could take one for me?

There is a chrome strip that is glued to the back of the door glass. It has a channel that a piece of rubber weatherstrip slides into. This is the weatherstrip that seals the door glass to the 1/4 glass. Unfortunatly they are getting really hard to find the channels any more. Ford was making it up to a few years ago, but it has since gone obsolete. The supply at most Mustang places has already dried up. Best bet is to keep an eye out on eBay for a pair. Also, expect to pay a few bucks for them. Hope this helped you out.

Several times I have come across 69-70 Mustang FB`s with the trim/seal missing, only to find it has fallen down inside the door.Pull the door panel off and take a peek, ya may just get lucky!
