I recently purchased a new tank, sending unit, and 2piece fuel lines. I installed the sending unit and was wondering if there are any "gotcha's" that anybody can warn me about before I install the tank. The installation just seemed too easy... I was also thinking about installing the "tank armour" which I saw in some previous dicussions. Any opinions on that? Thanks

In 1968 at least, Ford put a line of sealer between the tank and the chassis, centering over the screw holes. Also, the tank was held in with screws only. If you don't have a tight fit with the screws, toss them and use nuts and bolts instead. Much better.
