...Between a 1970 manual drum brake pedalhanger and a power disc brake pedal hanger. I know the pedals are different, ut are the hangers?------------------ "It only takes money" Dwayne M&M Member #18 '94 Lightning #942 of 4007 '70 Mach1 '69 Cyclone Spoiler II '65 Galaxie 500 + parts car

They should be. I know on a '68 if you are converting to power brakes, you only need to change the pedal. I don't have experience with a '70 though, so I wouldn't swear to it.------------------ JT '68 Coupe w/351W (orig.289), Wimbleton White (orig.paint) w/Ivy Gold Int. (also orig.), factory A/C and P/S

I spoke to a gent in the area who has restored several '69-'70 Mustangs (they're his favorite. He currently has a '69 R-code and a '70 Q-code on rotisseries). The hangers ARE different, but.... I'll say more about this after I see the stuff and make my setup work.------------------ "It only takes money" Dwayne M&M Member #18 '94 Lightning #942 of 4007 '70 Mach1 '69 Cyclone Spoiler II '65 Galaxie 500 + parts car

OK!The pedal hangers are SO slightly different. On a '70, if you're converting from manual to power, all you have to do is drill the threads out of the four bushings so the booster studs can pass (don't drill the one to the upper drivers side, that's so that you can put in one bolt to hold the booster while you cinch up the nuts inside). There is a dimple in the firewall at 6 o'clock that has to be drilled, and I believe there is a hole used for manual brakes that isn't for power that has to be sealed, but I haven't confirmed that yet....
