thats a great idea Joe! I have also been interested in doing this, the overhead with mpg, time, outside temp, inside temp, and other cool stuff nobody cares about. I would assume you could pick up an overhead without the sensors for 200-300 dollars. a VW overhead is pretty compact. I'll look into this for the both of us.

JOE,

Are you talking about a true mustang console , or , would you degrade the fastback by putting a ricer or ricer wanna be part on the old classic. Dubstar don,t come back and flame me for this comment , nothing against you , but , I am a purist when it comes to mustangs , keep the parts ford and only ford

i understand the feeling of true fords.. Explorer and Navigator both have overhead consoles. We're all friends here, no need to hate on eachother. =) I've already learned that with Stang28965.

Cheers with Beers to Years of Modifications

I also think that if you want an overhead console, go with the original. Be sure to use the original brackets for the console. Some sellers at eBay don't include the brackets, while others sell only the brackets.

Sigh, that's a coupe console unfortunately. I've been monitoring these. The coupe consoles go for $100 less than the Fastback ones. Figure $200 plus, $300 in perfect condition. (BTW, I have a coupe 68 overhead console for sale if anyone wants it. Not great condition, but cheaper than anything you'll find on e-bay, if you're prepared to pay the shipping.) No brackets, otherwise complete.
