I installed a 270 H-10 cam with the recomended heavier valve springs and roller rockers. I choose to have the rocker studs pinned instead of installing screw in studs. This is a 289 4-V with .060 over bore, This will not be used for racing but I will be horsing around some. My question is that will pinning the studs be an acceptable method of reinforcing the top end. Pete

Yes Pete, pinning is acceptable for a 270H cam. I prefer machining for screw in studs personally, but we pin them also. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Part time secret agent license #0089 US Class Nationals link
