Have read about honing out intakes and exhaust manifolds. Read in one article about Hi Po exhaust manifolds being extrude honed. Seems lik it could possibly weaken the part.

You do have to be careful, but from what I've read it is very effective. Costly, too.

It is a abrasive push through process and the length of time is irrelavent. It is the amount of abrasive that is used and under how much pressure.
