well, i shpuld say i guess why i am in need of a new carb.. i was replacing the now cursed fuel filter on my 2bbl and guess what, it suddenly sheared off..flush, all theads in the female side of the carb.. so i drill her out and tap her out and drop in a fitting with some good solid pipe threads. but she is leaking, drip drip drip... so, i would rather up grade to a 4 bbl if i am going to have to spend the $$ on a carb, unless you guys might have an idea??

Umm...teflon tape? Mine leaks too, until I torque it down tight enough, and then it's fine.Do you have the little black doughnut gasket that sits down inside the female carb inlet? They come with carb rebuild kits. That is another thing that I always make sure is in there. ------------------ *andy* ([email protected]) also known as...***Boss Hoss*** *1965 Mustang 289 coupe* *1996 Mustang GT coupe*

You can find old two barrels dirt cheap and rebuild them cheaply, if you want to buy time until you buy a four barrel setup.------------------
