I am in the process of freshening up my paint job. I sanded the body down to the metal in some places and layered some poly-filler in a few places. I also did some fiberglass patching on some rust holes in the lower door panels. Now the body has some paint, body filler, some metal, and fiberglass, all showing at once. I plan to paint with 2K acrylic urethane and am needing some expertise on what paint and prep steps to take now that the body work is nearing completion. Thanks for any help, BS

Next, seal it all with a urethane primer, followed by a compatable sandable primer. Block sand the primer and seal it again, then apply the finish coat. Easy huh? SteveW

Easy??? That's a joke!! I found where the car has been wrecked about 3 times. Nothing major, but enough to wrinkle the panels pretty good. It may look good when I'm finished, but only I know what is really underneath the paint. It's a sad case. The car has been painted 4 different colors along with various body work and primers. It's amazing what some these old Mustangs have weathered through. I might reward her with a racing apron and a cowl scoop, just for hanging in there this long. After the body make-over she gets a nice new 333ci aluminum headed stroker. Can't wait to get her finished. Thanks Steve, BS
