Headers for a 70 351C 4v should work fine. On my 70, I had a set of Cyclones, they fit both the FMX & the toploader. These were meant strictly for the 4v ports. Some of the cheaper headers used the same part # for the 2&4v heads, but didn`t fit either particularily well. (compromises) I did have to use that D@m# power steering relocating bracket, too.------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed

That bracket is for 65-70 Mustangs. It relocates the P/S slave cylinder.------------------

Steves right, only 70 & older need this bracket. You 71-73 Mustang guys were lucky that Ford finally decided to put a true power steering box in your cars. Those of us with the older stangs were stuck with that Mickey Mouse external system, with its mess of drooping hoses, control valve assemblys, ram cylinder, & constant seepage. Not to mention the "on center" feel was never all that great. Personally, I`d rather have manual steering!------------------ 78 Fairmont 428 4 speed 10.20@130mph 80 Fairmont 302 5 speed 12.8@105mph 85 Mustang NHRA Stocker under construction, 302 5 speed

Mr. Xerox, I had the same problem on my 72. I raised the engine up about 1/4" by putting washers between the block and mounts, and under the lower mounts. I also clearanced the corner of the steering box with a die grinder (I tried this before raising the engine, I would try to avoid grinding on the box). No more interference with the power steering box. I am using 1 3/4" dynomax headers, what are you using? Thanks, Tom
