How do you get a good finish on the paint on the inside of the cowl opening in front of the windshield? It's the last place left to detail and it looks all flakey in there.

That's a bummer on an early Mustang since you can't get that vent panel off!

Strip it down and smooth it over with lots of seam sealer. And pray that in a couple of years it doesn't crack.

I just went back and reread the post, my description is for the lip where the cowl meets the firewall. Sorry.

I have used a flat yard stick with scotch brite pad on the end. You have to have the fenders off to access the holes in the ends of the cowl.
