Last year I picked up a floor console that I thought was a 67 but I now think it is a 68. Here's my question, Are the bases for the 67 and 68 the same? If so, I would look to replace the top sections that are like a leather cover foam to the chrome trim, brushed aluminum and metal radio console face plate.

I just looked at a loose 68 console and I THINK it would work. I like the 67 consoles better.

The bases are different, I'm afraid. If you confirm you've got a '68 and it's complete and beautiful, let us know if you want to sell. My console is ugly as sin, especially the foam stuff that wraps around the radio.

I think you can use the 68 base but there might be two holes drilled in the top near the ashtray on a 68? This might be visible with the 67 trim.
