I'm going to have Currie build me a 9" housing & axles for my '65... I've used a laser level/pointer to check clearances of theoretical housing dimensions. I'm looking at the possibility of narrowing the rear 1 1/2"(1.500) from stock, leaving the springs where they are. With maybe just a little front wheelhouse 'massaging', 3 3/4" backspaced Torq-Thrusts (15x7) with a buncha rubber should tuck under the fenders nicely... or so my most accurate measurements determine. Anyone tried this before? I've gotta have a housing built anyway, and different lenghts don't cost any more, so why not try something trick?

Have it narrowed one inch on each side. That will be about perfect.
