On a 289 w/ 10 1/2" clutch and stocker z-bar linkage, what luck have you guys had with different discs/plates? I was intending to run the 'King Cobra' from FMS, seems it's not applicable to early flywheels (damn). It's going to be a street/strip car so Pep Boys remans won't cut it [This message has been edited by V8 Thumper (edited 01-10-2002).]

We had great results with the 10" Centerforce dual friction clutch. It will out perform the 10 1/2" King Cobra. SteveW

V8Thmpr: I don't recall the part numbers used in my 306"/4-spd/Z-bar/9"slicks pkg; but I've had excellent service from McLeod (1st pick) and Hayes (2nd pick) stuff over the years....and yeah, I've read a bunch of good reports in the past year or two on Centerforce stuff, but never used any yet.Ryan

In fact, e-mail me if you want a used 10" centerforce dual friction pressure plate cheap. The disc is worn, but the pressure plate (cover) is good to go again. SteveW
