I put Dynomax headers on my '70 (Cleveland with an FMX) on the recommendation from a guy at a rival header company. They fit beautifully, easily the nicest set of headers I've ever dealt with. I installed a set of shorty Hedman's, wanted ground clearance and they fit nice. Never ran the engine and are going to have them Jet Hot coated before I crank her up. ------------------ 69 351W Sportsroof Deluxe

I have a 69' equipped with the original 351W 4v and FMX. I went with Hedman long tube headers. I don't remember what the tube OD is coming from the heads, but they are 2 1/2" from the collectors back. I had to do a little hammer welding on the drivers side, but they went in fairly easily and I can still change my plugs.

Hedmans are great for the price, but nothing beats a set of Hooker SUper Comps as far as "box" headers goes. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00, '01, & '02 Fleet of FoMoCo products including 88 ASC McLaren Mustang #28 Part time secret agent license #0089 US Class Nationals link

Exactly what Alex said!! I had the same set-up as you do ('69 mach, 351W, FMX) and had major problems with the Hedmans fitting. Took them back, doubled the cost for a set of Hooker Supers and they dropped in perfectly and lasted for several years until I sold the car.
