Hey guys. My '65 GT has a symetrical dent on the front-facing side of the right (passanger) side shock tower. Dosen't look like damage, in that it's so uniform in its concave-ness (is that right?). Does that 'indentation' belong there, or is it in fact an ooops from a motor-stab? I'm prepping the engine compartment for paint, wanted to know if I need to repair it or not.

If you would like I can take a picture of mine tomorrow and e-mail it to you. Just email me with the email address you want the pic sent to. I don't have a motor in mine so I can get a good pic. Nope, it's a factory stock un-restored original, right down to the windshield wiper fluid bag and FoMoCo wire wheels(not for long... but I am keeping EVERYTHING). To the best of my research, I'm the first to have the motor out since June 1965, dosen't make it fact though. Besides, it (the dent) is perpindicular to the cylinder bank, wouldn't help any for header clearance.
