Are driveshafts the same for a '72 and a '67? I am planning to put in a 302 w/ 4 speed manual in the '67. Can I use a '72 driveshaft? Thanks.

I do not know for sure but I would have a hard time believing that it would the same. The reason is that the body style changed so much the 72 car is longer than a 67. Call Mustangs Plus they have custom shafts made maybe they could help.------------------ 69 351W Sportsroof Deluxe

The '72 driveshaft will be longer. But you can have it shortened easily.------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 M code 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 open '72 Mustang Sprint Coupe 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Lok '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip '97 Probe GTS 2.5L DOHC My Photo Page Christmas shopping? Since I don't know were "Far and Away" is, I can't make a recommendation on where to have it shortened. In my area, Drivelines Northwest does custom shafts. I suspect that just about any good machine shop could help you. It is not a "do-it-yourself" project (unless you are a machinist with the right equipment).

He's in the Philippines.I had my driveshaft cut and balanced by a company that installs truck bodies. It came out nice. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 M code 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 open '72 Mustang Sprint Coupe 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Lok '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip '97 Probe GTS 2.5L DOHC My Photo Page Christmas shopping? I had a place that does work on truck axles and dive lines. They cut, welded and balanced it for under $50.------------------ 68 S-code FB GT 4spd/3.25 PS PDB 68 J-code Cp Sprint"B" C4/3.00 PDB PS AC 99 F150 XLT Ext/cab, 4X4, 5.4L, 3.55LS
