I installed a fuel cell in my 65 Fastback and it came with a 0-90 Ohm sending unit which I am afraid is GM oriented? Can anybody tell me what I need to hook it up to the 1966 Mustang Fuel Gauge? ------------------ Have a Wonderful Day CandyApple 65 Fastback Versaille 9" Rear End Global West Front End Ekbeanctr@Hotmail.com

Ernie, you may just need an in line resistor from Radio Shack.. ------------------ Alex Denysenko Co-Administrator and Moderator NHRA/IHRA/SRA member NHRA and IHRA SS/LA National Record Holder '00 & '01 Fleet of FoMoCo products Moneymaker Bio US Class Nationals link

What is the ohms requirement for the mustang gauge? If I knew that I could probably ask Radio Shack how to make it work? A lot depends on whose working at Radio Shack that day. ------------------ Have a Wonderful Day CandyApple 65 Fastback Versaille 9" Rear End Global West Front End Ekbeanctr@Hotmail.com

I think you will need to buy a ford sending unit. I could be wrong on this but I think the 0-90 ohm unit will only work on a guage that needs that ohms in that order. 0 being empty 90 full. I think the ford guage needs 78 empty and 10 full. If I am right on this their is no way to make it work. If Im wrong you still cant put a resistor in series it will add to both ends. If you put it in parallel it will make the 78 less while it drops the 90 to 78 Im sure you can get the ford sending unit. lyle ------------------ Lyle 69 rag top 435+ some warm up stuff 93 explorer 98 f 150
