I'm preparring to paint the shaker hood scoop and sport mirrors in a 69 sportsroof mustang. Any ideas on the proper paint to use in getting a good looking satin finish. Local paint shops have nothing to offer except a standard black trim paint. Thanks in advance for any advise.

Welcome to M&M, Randy.I just plan on using PPG semi-gloss black on mine. You're painting your sport mirrors black? ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 M code 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 open '72 Mustang Sprint Coupe 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Lok '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip '97 Probe GTS 2.5L DOHC My Photo Page Ever wonder why they call it 'dogma?'

Randy,I had the local paint shop mix me some black Concept enamel and flattener until I was happy. I came out perfect! Next time I work on the 'Stang I'll check the mix on the label and post it here. ------------------ "It only takes money" Dwayne M&M Member #18 '94 Lightning #942 of 4007 '70 Mach1 3 '69 Cyclone Spoiler II's '65 Galaxie 500 + parts car '72 Mercury Montego GT

Thanks for the response guys. Steve, thought about the mirrors being black or color of the car and decided to go with black, no particular reason other than to stand out along with the shaker hood. The car is in the shop getting painted next week and will have some left over paint just in case the black is not to my liking. The mustangs color is going to be deep maroon w/ a small amount of metallic. It's getting exiting after having a primered car in the garage for three + years.
