Does any one have any instruction on how to rebuild the steering box on 66 mustang and what parts you need or were to get them? I would like to try and do this but I do not know were to get any of the parts and where to start.

Bluemustang:
"The Mustang Restoration Handbook" by Don Taylor & Tom Wilson has a pretty complete description of how to rebuild your steering box, complete with photos. (In fact, this book is excellent for restoring all areas of your Mustang!)

Your bookstore should be able to order this book if they don't already carry it. If you can't find it, e-mail me because I have this book.

One more thing: National Parts Depot can send you a complete, rebuilt steering box if you send them your old one. I'm not sure, but I think you can even send them your old one and get your old one back, if you want to keep your original steering box.

Whoops! Right you are, Steve! Shame on me for forgetting one of our sponsors!

Seriously, get that book! It has been a great help to me. It's written in "plain English" and it sounds just like the guy is sitting there in front of you, explaining the procedures. One of the best restoration books out there, in my opinion.
