I am new here, and I haven't driven or worked on a Mustang since the mid-eighties. I just recently picked up a '67 convertible and felt the ride rather soft. I know that I should change the front sway bar to a 1", but what about the back. The '69 and later had a rear sway bar, is it still avail or inferior to the ones avail now? Also, would under-ride traction bars be an adequate substitute for a rear sway bar? Thanks to any and all for your help. Welcome Midlife, I have a 68 fastback and I installed a 3/4 inch rear sway bar I believe it was an aftermarket but I don't remember what brand. i alsowent with the 1 1/8 front sawy bar but that went along with the whole front end being replaced. The ride is definately worth the rebuild. Good luck ------------------ joe 2001 SVT Cobra 68 GT Fastback 98 F-150 90 Escort GT (smokes the tires in all 5 gears, or just smokes through all gears)
