...other than the fuse box? Because the only fuse that doesn't already have a wire to it is way up in the top, and I can't get it out to cram a wire in there. I need to get my electric choke hooked up, and over the winter, I will be installing a line lock, which will also necessitate a switched 12v. So are there any other places?

I ran a new source in from the battery and put in an inline fuse. I added a switch to my dash where it is not visible and a little light to let me know when it is off and on. The light is tiny 1/8" and visible even in bright sun. Got it at Radio Shack. quote: Originally posted by 65_289: ...other than the fuse box? So I would have a line from the battery, going to a switch, and the switch connected to the line lock button? That doesn't sound too bad.

If you run a large enough wire you can use it for mutiple items as you add things later like I did with fuel injection and electric fans. They sell little power distribution blocks to make it look really nice even if it is hidden from view.

You can also take it from the radio plug. If you pull your instrument panel it should be the blue w/red stripe wire which has three holes in the plug. Just use one of the holes. Beware: I have to check my wiring schematic to make sure it is the blue/red wire. If you need me to check let me know.
