hey, Can anybody tell me what are the (stock) gear ratios for the rear differential on my 68 coupe(before 2/15/68)???

depends on whether you have a 6 or an 8 and if it's a 302, 390, 428, 289, etc. Standard rear for a 289 is often a 2:79 like some folks have. I think that the resident "gear" man can answer this question when he comes aboard. Welcome.

Can you give is the Warranty Plate codes and we'll tell ya..or if you want go to www.1968mustang.org and there's a 68 decoder there.

My '68, built in December, 1967 had 2.79 gears with the 289 and auto. I say "had" because I opted up to 3.25 when I had it rebuilt.
