Are there any instances of Mustangs that came with 4-lug rims that did not come with a 6 cylinder engine?

Any V8's made with 4-lug rims?

Just curious.

Not from 65 to 73, I don't think. I believe there were some V8's with four lugs in the mid/late '70s.

from '64.5 through '73 the only 4 lug cars were inline six's. Sorry.

Not to confuse the issue here, but although 4-lug wheels are ONLY on 6-cylinder cars, you could order the larger 5-lug wheels for a 6-cylinder car. So there are some 5-lug cars out there that are 6-cylinder cars and do not have a V8.

The only pre Mustang 11 6 cylinder Mustangs I have ever seen with 5 lug wheels, were on cars equipped with 250 6 cylinder. This engine debuted in 69, & was available thru 73 in Mustangs. It continued in Mavericks & Granadas until those models ceased production.

Just this morning I was reading in an old Mustang Monthly magazine about a rare option on a '65-'66 Mustang of 15" wheels on a six-cylinder car. It came with Galaxie wheelcovers.
