I heard that there are some 351w blocks that are different in size according to the year of them. Can anyone explain it to me please?

Im not sure about the 351W blocks being different size diamentionally, but know the earlier blocks generally have a thicker casting, webbing, etc.

And a little shorter deck height. The newer blocks have a 9.5" deck height, the older, early blocks, 69-74 I believe, have a 9.48" deck height.

According to Ford publications, the 69 and 70 blocks have the 9.48" deck height while 71 and up have the 9.5" deck. I belive this difference needs to be considered when fitting stroker assemblies. ------------------ Bernie Frank 66 Fastback restomod project 85 GT (preserved) 82 GT (original)
