I'm installing new weatherstriping on my 70 fastback. The strip that fits on the rear of the door glass is giving me a hard time. The weatherstrip fits in a channel of the chrome trim on the rear edge of the glass. I can get the rubber about 3/4 of the way down, but then it won't budge. Is there a lubricant that would help slide the rubber all the way down?

When i put mine in I used Dawn Dishwashing Detergent as a lube, works pretty good and is easy to clean up.

Thanks for the more-than-one-word response! I tried graphite lubricant, silicone lubricant and neither one helped a bit. Who would have thought that the solution was underneath the kitchen sink. Dishsoap worked like a charm. Thanks!

Harley,

Glad it work well for you. Dishwashing liquid has many uses when your installing rubber parts.
