the piece that replaces the control valve, has anyone used it?
The steering effort doesn't bother me..
I just want to rid myself of the pump, lines, control ram, and most importantly the F%^&ing control valve...
pluses minuses? Anyoen had problems after installing one?

I have that one from Mustangs plus on my 68. I was kind of worried about putting it in but it was no problem and it works fine. No more leaks from that damn valve or any busted power steering lines.

Thanx guys
for now I am going to try a rebuild on the control valve, and once I finish my cleveland and pull the junk 289 I am going to swap in the adapter. That way I have a full set of P/S components for my other car (whom I borrowed the motor from)

i dunno ,that thing costs nearly as much as doing it the proper way, using manual steering tie rods. If you need to replace anything else like the idler arm it's definately best to just put the proper manual parts in.

The 67 we used it on will get it's power steering back after we quit racin it so it just made sense . I don't like havin the empty hole in the tie rod though, it looks like we forget something
