I am aquiring a 69 Cuoupe & have the opertunity to get a 302 aod automatic, would there be any problem in putting the 87 302 & the aod auto into the 69 Coupe?. Any help on this would be appreciated, the engine has very low milage. Thanks, Mike.

That should be a great swap. Make sure you hook up the transmission's throttle cable and you're in business. ------------------

Steve,
When swapping the 87 302 & aod into the 69 coupe would a 69 mustang auto driveshaft work with that trans?.------------------

No, it will have to be shortened. I also should have mentioned that you'll need a new transmission crossmember. Both National Parts Depot and Mustangs Plus sell them, I believe.------------------

I have some frame mounts and the cross member free if you want them. out of a 69 302 with c-4 good cond. ------------------
