Can some one tell me how the transmission mount goes in a 69 with a C-6 The mount I have has two holes for the frame on on side and one hole for the frame on the other side. Now I have the wide part (2 holes) on the passenger side and the motor mounts will not line up. Am I wrong or do i have some wrong parts? thanks Lyle

You have it correct. The side with two legs goes towards the passenger side. On my car the frame of the car has more than one set of bolt holes. Does yours?

When you say the motor mounts won't line up: Are you talking about the ones on the engine? If so, there is a left and right side, they will bolt up to the wrong side, but the offset is different.

Thanks for the Info. Their are 2 sets of holes on the frame but I dont think that is my problem The bottom of the mount has slots in it. I am to far off for the slots to help.
I need to look again at the engine mounts I think they are correct. That means the frame mounts might be on wrong. Lyle

I dont think I made it clear. The engine mounts bolt up correct to the engine but to fit into the frame mounts I need to move the motor foreward about 2 inches. I can get only 1/2 to 1 inch from the slots in the transmision mount. I have some help tomorrow so I can rethink it all. Lyle

Hmmm, what was the orignal and current engine? Original trans? My car had a 302 and C-4 from the factory. The 351W and C-6 went in just fine.

What is the current C-6 out of. I know of at least 3 different tail shaft lengths. Maybe the rear trans mount is different.

I had a similar problem when I swapped the C-6 out for a Powerglide this past spring. Used a steel plate to bridge the gap. 5"X6"X 1/8" plate. Bolted the plate to trans. Bolted the rubber mount to the other end of the plate so it would line up with the slots.

Hey thanks I may have to do something like that. my car was a 302 with a c4 I got the 460 block and c-6 from a 68 mustang (not original) so I have to do a little trial and error to get it right. I think I may have the frame mounts wrong. I may work on it tomorrow. Lyle
