I have 69 low back seats in my car, the ones with headrests. When I go to reupholster the seats, will 68 upholstry fit? Looks to me like they use the same frame and the same cushions, so the only mod I'll have to make is to cut the top for the headrest to go it, but just want to be sure before I go that route. I like having the headrests, and have been unable to find some original 68 headrest kits in black.

The other option would be to just not reupholster the seats and get some nice late model seats from the parts yard.

Or you could simply order 69 standard seats, pay a little more, and get fresh vinyl on the headrests, also. I have 69 seats in my 68 cv. Other than the rests, they're the same.

Mellow, are you saying the seats themselves are the same, or the upholstry pattern also. In the catalog (NPD) it actually looks like the same upholstry, ie, the 69 upholstry looks just like 68 except it has the headrest on it.

I think if you check with NPD, they can custom make seat covers for you.

They don't have to custom make those.-they're already made. The pattern, size and shape of the 68 and standard 69 are identical except for the headrests.
