The weatherstrip that runs along the outer edge of the driver and passenger door windows on my '70 are rotting away. What is this part called? How difficult is it to replace? Thanks! I have a '68, but you have weather strips running along the "outer edge of the ... windows"? Or do you mean on the body, above the windows?

I think the one you are talking about runs the full length of the door glass, from the bottom of the front pillar all the way around the vent window. It is called a roof rail weatherstrip. ------------------ 69 351W Sportsroof Deluxe

The door glass seal between the door window and quarter window? This is called the quarter glass seal. {Even though on '69-'70 fastbacks it's attached to the door window.}Part numbers D0ZZ-63214A14-A {RH}, and D0ZZ-63214A15-A {LH}. It attaches with weatherstrip adhesive, and a screw at the base of the glass. ------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 M code 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 open '72 Mustang Sprint Coupe 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Lok '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip '97 Probe GTS 2.5L DOHC Ford. I guess you have to remove the interior door panel to get to that screw? That doesn't sound fun. HH ------------------ _ _____________________ _ Harley D. Huggins II Laguna Niguel, CA 1970 Mach I 1998 GT Convertible www.geocities.com/hh_machi/

I think he is talking about door belt mldgs. The ones that you lean your arm out the window on. The part number is DOZZ-6321452-A R/S AND DOZZ-6321453-A. I found a set about a year ago on parts voice, give that a try. RAY------------------ 1970 MACH 1 351C 4SPD 1986 CAPRI 5.0 5 spd. 2001 LINCOLN LS V8

Harley, in reading your original post, Ray is right. I don't think so. The w/strips you are talking about are on the back of the front door glass not on the 1/4 window. Is he talking about the seals behind the bomorang mldg?------------------ 1970 MACH 1 351C 4SPD 1986 CAPRI 5.0 5 spd. 2001 LINCOLN LS V8

Nope - I was talking about the strips on the back of the front door glass. BTW - I'm just about to order these - are they easy to install?

Jeff, those part numbers must come out of a vendor's catalog, judging by the 63, 65, and 76 suffixes.------------------ '70 Mustang Mach 1 M code 351C 4V/FMX/3.25 open '72 Mustang Sprint Coupe 351C 4V/FMX/4.30 Trac Lok '94 F-150 XL 5.8L/E4OD/3.55 Limited Slip '97 Probe GTS 2.5L DOHC Ford.
