Is there an aftermarket 5.0 flywheel that retains the 28 oz. balance and can have a 10.5" diaphragm clutch? Somewhere I remember seeing one with a bolt on balance. I have the cast 5.0 flywheel but no machine shop I have talked can take it to the 28 oz. balance factor. Any one know of an aftermarket flywheel or a machine shop(preferably in AL, GA, or TN) that can do it.Thanks ------------------ 1968 302 5-spd Fastback, Modified 1965 Coupe 1981 F-150 [This message has been edited by 68Mustang (edited 07-19-2001).]

Try Gene Evans Ford: http://www.gefracing.com. I know I have seen the "bolt on" flywheel weights someplace, just can't recall the place. Will let you know if I find it.

GeneEvans Ford is a good place, they are a Ford Racing dealer, Saleen dealer, Very knowledgable people there also. Ford Racing offers a billet steel flywheel in 28oz balance, last time I checked it was $219. Another Ford Racing dealer here in Atlanta is Barnett Racing,404-522-1320, they are usually cheaper than Gene Evans and sell all brands of performance parts.------------------ Stuart MCA #48902 67 stang 5 speed 91 f-150 xlt 98 explorer xlt sohc v-6

Well cpmaverick pointed me in the right direction with his machine shop that he uses near Anniston, AL. Only 60 bucks which beats all the other prices. Thanks for all the info.------------------ 1968 302 5-spd Fastback, Modified 1965 Coupe 1981 F-150

Hey 65_302, I don't think they have a web site but they do have catalogs, I believe they are free, just give them a call. I was just there yesterday and they now have a pretty large showroom/ counter, still took 45 minutes to pickup my called in order, yes they are that busy, great prices and service, give em a try.------------------ Stuart MCA #48902 67 stang 5 speed 91 f-150 xlt 98 explorer xlt sohc v-6
