ok, i just bit the bullet and bought a new canton street pan kit, which came with a windage tray, mounting bolts, 7qt. pan and oil pickup. problem is...i'm not too sure of how to install the tray. i'm assuming the tray bolts to the bottom of the block, but what's the arrangment for the mounting bolts? is there a special oil pan gasket? does the oil pickup go to the pump? i'm gonna refer to the shop manual, but i thought i'd ask THE FORUM first.

thanks, jeff

Geez it's been awhile since I did it but I believe the tray should mount the crank bolts. I'll leave this to someone who has done it more recently.

Yes the pickup attaches to the pump.

No special gasket required. I use a little gasket tack to hold it in place while mounting. I also switched to studs and found them to be easier to work with, until you replace it again at least.
