Just bought a 65 FB with an 1983 302. The harmonic balancer looks to be only about 1/4 inch clearance from the front sway bar. Is this O.K.?? can I use 66 motormounts without having to change frame mounts.??? Will this lift up the engine. There was a thick nut under the motormount when I bought the car, maybe this was used to raise the engine for clearance. Any thoughts on this ?

i think MM meant to say you cant use 66 motor mounts on 65 frame mounts. you can however shim the 65 mounts(use suspension alignment shims) to add clearance. just dont go too far and keep both sides equal.
