I sent my steering box to Rode's Restoration for a rebuild last month. I had emailed with Mr. ROde a number of times about what they did and the expected expense. He told me anywhere from around $150 to $225 (worst case). I said fine and sent him the box.I had email 2 days later saying that the box had been received, then again the following day saying that the box was repaired (bill was $142.50), had been shipped, and he was waiting on my check. Nice to be treated fairly by someone so trusting. JimO

Sent the box from my 71 Mach into Power Steering Services Inc. www.powersteering.com and he rebuilt and converted it to a 12/1 ratio for $219.00! service and communication was excellent. Highly recommended.

JimO, Keep us posted on how that steering box works. I had mine rebuilt a few years ago and its sloppy already, I'm not sure if its the design of the original or the rebuild was shoddy. Still looking at Flaming River because I don't want to waste the money on another rebuild that won't last.

Will do, Sig- Hoping for the best. I'd replaced my front end with a Magna setup and was somewhat disappointed in the limited improvement. Really hoping to see more now. Was your rebuild done at Rode's?Flaming River- took a (very brief) look at them this time, probably a longer look next time. Just have other places on the car to put the money right now. Best- JimO
