On the top of the strut rod where it bolts onto the lower A-arm, Is there an "L" shaped bracket that goes on top of the strut rod ? If so, which way does the "L" face ? I'm pretty sure that these brackets go on top of the strut rod end.......but, I'm not sure which way they are oriented or what they are for.......stops for the spindle ???? Ant help would be appreciated. ( I should have made better drawings !!!).

for whatever its worth, on my '67 the strut rods connect to the top of the lower arm via the 2 bolts. the bolts should go down into the lower arm, therefore making the L "bracket" face up. make sense? hope so...good luck...oh and btw, my strut rod has the L shape bent into it, so it's just one piece, not a separate one...hope it helps.[This message has been edited by 67resto-coupe (edited 05-15-2001).]
