Are H-pipes really neccessary ?? Whats the benefits of having them or not ?? I ask because my new headers require that I remove half of the existing H-pipe, so why not just go with a straight pipe in its place ?? PS: I've heard that it sounds better without them !!!------------------ Conciousness - that annoying time between naps. I think the H Pipe or the newer X pipe add a little to low end torque but I think the biggest difference is that they mellow out the exhaust sound. I don't mean quiet just mellow. I liked the sound of my stang more after the H pipe.------------------ 65 Stang - TFS SH Stage III Heads, Nash 5 speed, Fuel Injection, etc... 2001 - Z06
