I've got some misc brackets and motor mounts. Can anybody decode these numbers?

Brackets: C8AE-R/B (can't tell if it's R or B)and C8AE-10156A

Motor Mount: C8ZA-6038-A

thanks, Todd.

The first part of the number is for a 1968 full sized engine part C8AE.That does not mean that it wasn't used on other models(I have a D1AE part on my mustang.) The motor mount is 1968 mustang.
Not sure of the 10156A number.

I can decode this part number: C8AE-10156A.

C='60s
8=8 (so "C8" means "68")
A=Ford full-size car
E=Engine part (An "A" here would mean a chassis part, and a "B" here would mean a body part.)
10156=The actual part number
A=The first version of this part (The second version of this part would have a "B" here, a third version would have a "C", and so on...)

Hope this helps...

I can also decode this part number: C8ZA-6038-A

C='60s
8=8 ("C8" means 68)
Z=Mustang part
A=Chassis part
6038=The actual part number.
A=The first version of this part.

well.... i was looking for a little more info, like what application. I've determined the brackets are for a FE block alternator. I still haven't determined what the motor mounts are for. It's my guess they are FE mounts for a mustang. I'd like to know for sure. thanks, Todd.

Alex, are there any differences between the 390 mount and the 428? thanks, Todd.
