Could someone help me figure a 289 engine ID The # is 6M22C I take it it's 1966 289 made Dec, 22 But what is the C at the end for ? Does that mean it's a C code 289 Barrel 200 H.P.Or does the C mean A 1960's series part # like all 1960 to 1969 parts start with C. And lastly for an A code car does that last number then become an A

Shoe,
The "C" at the end does not mean anything relating to the date, it was an extra stamp used at the factory. It could have been an opertor or shift. There would have been no difference between an A code or a C code block---Same casting number
