i just recently put 3.89 gears in my mustang, and now of course, the speedo reads 90 mph when i'm doing probably 45. how does one get an accurate speedometer back? thanks,

You need to replace the plastic speedo gear on the transmission mainshaft. The FRPP cataloge list them and has the formulas for different ratios.

ford racing performance parts... local dealership, ford oriented speed shops would have catalogs.

You should consult with a speedometer shop.
You may need a A speedometer gear reducer like what was used on CJ cars for the taller gears.Ford had one for 4:11 and 3:91 's
I see them on "that auction site" from time to time. Bob's Speedometer shop in Michigan
(Adverstised in Hemmings) Gave me friendly advice and makes reducers to order.
