Ever since I raised my comp ratio, I have noticed a ping under part throttle loads, to save me some time, does anyone know off hand which way to turn the vacuum advance adjusting nut to slow down the advance rate?------------------ 67 Fastback - Arctic White Pearl paint 351W ,Trick Flow Aluminum Heads, Edelbrock TorkerII, Carter 750 CFM, Comp. Clockwise should tighten the spring against the diaphram and slow it down. Steve, we need spellcheck...LOL ------------------ Butch 460 powered 1967 Comet Cyclone best of 10.27 @ 129.997 1/4 mile Butcher's Home Page [This message has been edited by Butch Jennings (edited 04-06-2001).]

Thank you, that is what I thought, but I saw something online that said the opposite, but that did not make any sense.------------------ 67 Fastback - Arctic White Pearl paint 351W ,Trick Flow Aluminum Heads, Edelbrock TorkerII, Carter 750 CFM, Comp. Hi Tom,actually it depends on who makes the unit...the Crane unit decreases advance when turned clockwise while the Accel unit does the opposite...go figure! ------------------ Craigber 71 Red Rag
