Ever since I raised my comp ratio, I have noticed a ping under part throttle loads, to save me some time, does anyone know off hand which way to turn the vacuum advance adjusting nut to slow down the advance rate?------------------

Clockwise should tighten the spring against the diaphram and slow it down. Steve, we need spellcheck...LOL ------------------

Thank you, that is what I thought, but I saw something online that said the opposite, but that did not make any sense.------------------

Hi Tom,actually it depends on who makes the unit...the Crane unit decreases advance when turned clockwise while the Accel unit does the opposite...go figure! ------------------

It is a stock replacement unit, I guess I will just experiment with it.------------------
